It is disappointing to see how slow our state is progressing on our clean energy goals, especially compared to other states. There’s a lot more Connecticut can do to clean up, and we need to do it quickly! We need your help to strengthen our message to policymakers as we push for change.

Exploitation of Indigenous Culture Enriches Gas Corporation in Connecticut

Multinational fossil fuel corporations are appropriating Indigenous cultures while destroying their land. These same corporations are pushing fracked gas expansion projects in our state. Despite the need for a transition to clean energy, another dirty expansion project is on its way to approval in Connecticut. We need your help to stop it!

Join the March to End Fossil Fuels

Join us for a march in New York City, as world leaders and President Biden meet for the United Nations Climate Ambition Summit. Their response to climate change has been too slow and is simply not enough. We need as many people as possible to send our message loud and clear – END FOSSIL FUELS!

EV Charging on the Road

With more and more EV cars on the road, a robust infrastructure is needed to get all those cars charged! To get those cars further distances, fast-charging networks (with standard ports and plugs) will need to be in place. When will this happen and what does it mean for your next EV purchase?

Summer 2023 Photo Journal

Summertime has not slowed us down at Sierra Club Connecticut. In fact, we took to the outdoors to enjoy the wonders that we are working so hard to protect. We also had plenty of events related to policy.

Nominations

The Connecticut Chapter has a volunteer leadership board called the Executive Committee (ExCom) which oversees and approves the work of staff, committees and groups. Nominations from our at-large membership for open seats on the ExCom can be submitted to the Nominating Committee until October 2, 2023 for the annual autumn election.
