What Are You Up To?
June 2022
From Leonard Yannielli:
The 11th annual Naugatuck Earth Day Mayor for the Day event was held at the Gunntown Passive Park and Nature Preserve in Naugatuck on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Steve Schrag, long time labor and environmental activist, was feted as Earth Day Mayor. Steve, a long time Labor Council member, lives in Waterbury. He has been a many decades long defender of the passive 170 acre Great Hill Green Belt that sits on the Waterbury / Naugatuck border. Great Hill serves as a climate change mitigator for both towns and the Naugatuck Valley. The challenge is a proposed Amazon distribution plant there.
