The Sierra Club uses people power to fight for safer communities and a healthier planet. Are you interested in volunteering with the Sierra Club Connecticut Chapter? We have in-person and virtual volunteer opportunities! Here’s a few of the current needs at the Chapter:

 

• Phone calling: Once every two weeks, a group of people get together on Zoom, and we call new members to welcome them. 

• Outing leaders: Do you enjoy the outdoors and want to help others get outdoors? Maybe becoming an outings leader is right for you!

• Do you like to write? Your writing can make a difference on climate as a member of our letter to the editor group. This group is forming to write about climate and get information out to our local news sources.

• Meeting planner: Once a month we hold a virtual Education & Activist Hour to learn about a campaign and take an action. We are looking for a volunteer to coordinate with our staff to plan the meetings.

• Tabling: join us as we share information about the Sierra Club at community events.
